Printed Matter is the world”s largest non-profit organization dedicated to the promotion of publications made by artists. Printed Matter the store and the collective promotes public awareness of and access to artists’ books, Printed Matter maintains a public reading room where over 15,000 titles by 5,000 international artists are available for viewing and purchase.

MidnightSpeaks is a Twitter account run by Matt Cavanaugh featuring an on-going narrative of short 140 character tweets that focus on written proses and observations about life around the Midnight hour.

As of August 2010, the MidnightSpeaks project is still fully active with a new MidnightSpeaks twitter tweet updated weekly.

East Meets East featured 10 aspiring young Philadelphia area artist who have created illustrations in a variety of mediums and visual languages, from traditional paintings to digital drawings. The images created for East Meets East focused on developing a visual commentary on the impact of Japanese pop culture on our contemporary American culture, and vice versa.

The shows opening had a great crowd and the work looked great not to mention plenty of Japanese treats such as Pocky and Sapporo beer were provided to the guest.
